On Repeat #12 – Sharon Van Etten

Warning: Van Etten’s music is not for everyone. She has tender, slow songs that make you want to stay in bed, feeling drowsy, melancholy and nostalgic. She’s also pretty magical if you ever see her perform live. I saw her at the 2012 Restoration Fest in Albany, NY whereI sat a few feet away from her, on the floor of an old church, as she filled the empty air with her talented voice. This raven-haired singer-songwriter is captivating.
