Meet a Stranger: the writer of this blog

Standard

With millions of people online, you never really get to know who they are. My new series Meet a Stranger will bring you a glimpse of interesting, normal, everyday people you wouldn’t know about otherwise. But first, to introduce this weekly series I will be the first guinea pig. Nice to meet you!

Name: Era

Age: 21

Who are you? I’m an Albanian. I’m a student, a journalism major and a big fan of writing, blogs, cats and music.

Three of your favorite things: Satisfying a sugar craving, reading a really good quote and going to concerts and hearing favorite songs played live.

What consumes your time? Currently it’s part time work at Dunkin Donuts and part time at my online internship with Global Yodel (coolest travel site ever).

If you had to choose your last meal, what would it be? My mom’s home-made laknore (an Albanian dish), chocolate pudding cake and a tall glass of ice water.

What keeps you sane? Being grateful. And not thinking too much about how big and mysterious our universe is…

What’s your favorite memory? I have too many but my three year period in Italy is one big, long, happy memory.

Do you have any idols or role models? I don’t give much though to role models but some successful and well-grounded ladies I admire are Emma Watson, Tina Fey and Mindy Kaling.

What’s on your bucket list? Travel as much as I can (country bucket list here), publish a book, make and keep life-long friends, be a mother.

Your online homes: Twitter, Tumblr

If you’d like to be featured, shoot me an email at erawrites@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

  1. I completely agree with your bucket list. There’s not much better than soaking in another country’s culture. I’ve published a couple books so I’d amend that part to “publish a wildly popular book.” Nice to meet you. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  2. I enjoyed reading this very much. And I admire Emma Watson and Mindy Kaling as well. Emma Watson seems very grounded, and Mindy Kaling’s very awesome. I saw her book in my local bookstore and couldn’t resist my urge to buy it (my friend was obsessed with her, so when I saw her on the cover of the book, I picked it up, read the intro and was hooked). Have you read it?
